A few of my favorite things

December 30, 2010

Hello lovely people! I have been a bad blogger recently, but one of my New Year’s resolutions is to start updating this space more often. So stay tuned!

I wanted to pop in here to just say that I had one of the most wonderful holidays to date with my family and loved ones. I was able to go on a thrifting trip, see Black Swan with my sisters, eat tons and tons of food, drink Manhattans (a holiday favorite!) and cozy up in my childhood home. To make the visit even more exciting, my twin sister got engaged and I couldn’t be happier! Now I have weddings on the brain.

This year for Christmas, I actually asked for a ton of things from Etsy, primarily from my boyfriend. He hates shopping in stores and I figured it would save him the hassle. He actually didn’t buy me anything on my list, because the crazy boy bought me a MacBook Pro instead. I was so shocked that I literally cried. Plus he bought me this sweet messenger bag from Stash Bags as a bonus gift! I’m a lucky, lucky girl.

I also am pretty excited about the necklace my little sister bought me from LuxCoronette. It’s cast from a mountain lion claw and made out of bullet casings. I’ve been eyeing it forever and it’s even better than I hoped!

My parents also gifted me with some Clarks rain boots. I’ve been in desperate need of rainboots for the past three years, but simply never got around to shopping for them. These are perfect and actually fit my muscular (read: gigantic) calves.

Plus with the money I received from family members, I was able to purchase a brand new dress form for my Etsy shop. It’s pretty and white and now I will be able to display black dresses in a much more appealing way. I should be getting it in the mail today and I can’t wait to set it up and start using it!

Needless to say, my Christmas was amazing and it’s hard to believe that it’s over already. But I’m looking forward to the New Year and all it has to offer! Happy holidays everyone.
